This week on Deep Dive we feature the excellent talents of St. Kits born english singer Joan Amatrading. We read a letter from America, come into dry land, and walk under ladders. It's not our birthday, as the programme says, but I thought I would replay this programme any way.
Tune in at 4 PM Eastern Monday, which is Tuesday morning in Eastern Australia. Or at 6 AM Eastern Wednesday, which is Wednesday evening in Eastern Australia.
Hello! Sara Hillis here to let you know that we are diving yet again into the archives of Come by the Hills for this week's show, this time with an episode from July 27, 2025. I hope you'll enjoy it! Also, I wanted to let you know that Autust is our tenth anniversary month, and while I'll be having the official anniversary show on August 23, I'll be referring to the anniversary throughout August, because, it's, like, our tenth! Wow! Anyway, have fun with this archive-dive, and I hope to see you in realtime next week!

Hello! Sara Hillis here to let you know that this week's episode of Come by the Hills is another one from the archives. This time, it's from July 14, 2024. Also, there will be songs in honour of Bastille Day, songs honouring some July birthdays, and even some commedy! Tomorrow, I have birhtday plans of my own which preclude doing a live show, but I hope you'll enjoy this one.

The "Juke In The Back" is jumpin' this week as we take a look at the history and influence of the Champion Jack Dupree classic, "Junker's Blues." He learned the tune from New Orleans boogie woogie pianist Drive 'Em Down, but it was Dupree's recording that influenced Fats Domino, Lloyd Price and Professor Longhair.

All the songs this week will be from a 4-year window (1963-66), as I continue the multipart theme that I began two weeks ago that I'm calling Canadiana. This is part 3. Every song will involve Canadian artists.
