Say It With Jazz returns to Mushroom FM for a very special Holiday edition this Christmas Eve. Jeremy Hartley invites you to join him to celebrate this festive time of year with some of the finest Holiday jazz around. We'll hear from such artists as Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, George Shearing, Ray Charles and many more.
Keeping with the usual Say It With Jazz formula, we will trace the origins and tell some stories about how some of the best-known Christmas songs came to be. We'll listen to the evolution of The Christmas Song, and hear the story behind I'll Be Home For Christmas.
Jeremy will share a few Christmas memories from his childhood, and we'll even play a couple of songs from your humble host from an album recorded in 1999. As an extra Christmas bonus, we play a recording of Louis Armstrong reading Twas The Night Before Christmas!
You can join in the fun starting at 06:00PM Eastern Time on Christmas Eve. The show will replay at 09:00AM Eastern time on Christmas Day. Have a very safe and happy Holiday season!
