All I can say is wow. I’m still coming down from the high generated by the good cheer and great company we had during our 10 hour countdown. If you participated in any way at all, thank you so very much. The friendships rekindled and established, and the great spirit, is what Mushroom FM has always been all about.
Normally, the Mosen Explosion replays at 5 AM Eastern, 10 AM UK on a Tuesday. But there was no Mosen Explosion as such this week, and we’ll be playing the full countdown on Christmas eve at a time suitable for those who may have been sleeping when much of it aired live. So what to do?
Well it turns out that in total, listeners nominated 241 separate songs when compiling their top 10 lists. That’s pretty holly jolly impressive don’t you think?
So I’ve decided to put together a three-hour show featuring songs that got votes, but not enough votes to make the final 100. Some of the songs were unlucky to have missed out, there were quite a few bubbling just under the 100 mark. There’ll be some where you’ll say, thank goodness they didn’t make it.
So if you enjoy Christmas music as much as I do, join me at 5 AM Eastern, 10 AM UK on Tuesday for Christmas Cast-offs.
And thank you for being part of our special Mushroom FM listening family.
