Well actually, we'll be doing pretty much what we usually do on the show: presenting three hours of the best in Celtic music from around the world. However, I can tell you with absolute assurance that no donkies will be invading the studio. There may be a spotted cow or two, but no donkies!
We have a Christmas-themed "What's That About?" song in Gaelic, a commical and tangentially-holiday-related "Celtic Covers" segment, and of course just plenty of good Celtic and folk music from many awesome artists and bands.
There will be a hint of Christmas flavouring, but I'm trying my best to save the all-Christmas show until Christmas Day itself. It's been a struggle, but I can say that I have triumphed this year. I love holiday music, and when it's Celtic, it's even better! So, there will be a few choice bits in this week's show. I'm pretty sure none of what I'm playing whill have been in the countdown, but it will be nice music to curl up with on a cold winter's night, or a warm summer's day as the case may be I suppose.
Come along with me for the post-countdown episode of Come By The Hills: The Celtic Music Show! That's on Sunday night at 8:00 P.M. Eastern with a replay on Friday at 4:00 A.M. Eastern, 9:00 A.M. in the UK and Ireland.
