Just like the name the Beatles, the album name Revolver has a double-meaning. It can mean the gun, or it can mean the record revolving on the turntable. When people began to play Revolver on their turntables 50 years ago this weekend, they knew rock music had really come of age. In terms of production, musical experimentation and sophistication, the Beatles had transcended all others with this remarkable album.
I'm featuring the album on this week's Mosen Explosion, and telling you the story behind every track. We'll also hear the Beatles themselves talking about the recording of the album and some of the tracks on it.
There's plenty of room for chat about this and that. Richard is here with a banana report, Bonnie's got her bulletin, we go back in history and so much more.
What really makes the show is all your interaction and participation. So I hope very much to have the pleasure of your company at 2 PM Eastern, 7 PM in the UK, only on the marvellous Mushroom FM. It'll be a good day, sunshine.
