The first of May, otherwise known as May Day, might be the perfect holiday for Come by the Hills, as it is both a celebration of fertility and life as well as a celebration of workers' rights around the world, thus bridging the two major types of music featured on the show: music from the Celtic lands as well as music firmly rooted in union and worker culture. This week, I have a May Day episode for you from 2025, so if you hear discussions of May the Fourth, don't freak out. It's just a rerun. The weekend has been filled up again for me with plans, so enjoy this blast from the not-so-distant past, and happy May Day!
