Movie 1: A Few Good Men (1992)
A Few Good Men (1992) is a gripping courtroom drama that explores honour, duty, and moral responsibility within the rigid structure of the United States
military justice system.
Directed by Rob Reiner and based on Aaron Sorkin’s acclaimed stage play, the film follows young Navy lawyer Lieutenant Daniel Kaffee as he defends two
Marines accused of murdering a fellow soldier at Guantánamo Bay.
As the trial unfolds, Kaffee is forced to confront his own reluctance to fully commit, while clashing with the formidable Colonel Nathan R. Jessup, whose
unyielding belief in military order masks deeper ethical questions.
Driven by sharp dialogue, intense performances, and escalating tension, A Few Good Men delivers a powerful examination of truth, authority, and the cost
of
blind obedience, culminating in one of cinema’s most iconic courtroom confrontations.

Movie 2: Misery (1990)
Misery (1990) is a chilling psychological thriller that delves into obsession, control, and the darker side of fandom.
Directed by Rob Reiner and adapted from Stephen King’s novel, the film centres on novelist Paul Sheldon, who finds himself trapped and helpless after a
car
accident leaves him in the care of his “number one fan”, the seemingly kind but deeply unstable Annie Wilkes.
As Paul realises the true extent of Annie’s fixation and volatility, what begins as reluctant gratitude quickly turns into a desperate fight for survival,
with tension mounting in the confines of a remote snowbound house.
Anchored by an unforgettable, Academy Award-winning performance from Kathy Bates, Misery is a masterclass in suspense, using atmosphere and character
rather than spectacle to deliver sustained, nerve-shredding terror.
