Whether you're spending Christmas with a houseful of loved ones or enjoying a quieter celebration on your own, Mushroom FM has the perfect soundtrack for your holiday. We know that Christmas can be a time when some of our listeners find themselves alone. We'd be honored to keep you company with familiar voices and festive tunes. For those celebrating with family and friends, we'll provide the ideal musical backdrop to your festivities. Turn us up or keep us gently playing in the background as you create those special holiday memories.
Our Christmas programming kicks off later today, December 23 at 9:00 PM Eastern with Rob Walker's special "New Zealand Retro Weekly Top 40 Christmas Cracker", a perfect way to ease into the holiday spirit as Christmas approaches.
Then we'll hear from Alan, who'll surreptitiously spin some of those Christmas Guilty Pleasures.
Christmas eve brings you wall-to-wall holiday programming starting at 7:00 AM Eastern with Gary G's, as we take you to Cape Town South Africa for a warm festive Christmas.
Throughout the day, enjoy festive favorites with Nicki Keck's "Your Favorite Christmas Blend," Dan Sweeney's unique "Christmas One Hit Wonders," and Melissa Riccobono's heartwarming "Christmas Song Remembers When."
Paul is here with some Christmas faves from sunny California, Steve Cutway brings you "An Early Years Christmas" featuring classic holiday hits from rock's golden era, followed by the return of an old friend we haven't heard for a while, Anthony Horvath's four-hour "Christmas in the Shed" marathon. By that stage, it'll be a hot sunny Christmas afternoon in Australia, so we'll join Graeme Innes presenting "A Deep Dive Aussie Christmas".
Then to start Christmas day, we're replaying the entire Mushroom FM Holiday Countdown, because listeners are demanding a recount, and we give our listeners what they want.
Then you can look forward to Darren Paskell's "Jolly Old Darren Christmas," Sara Hillis's beautiful "Christmas with the Carpenters" which has become a fixture of our Christmas schedule in recent years, Bruce Toews' hilarious novelty collection presented by Melissa Riccobono, and the "Mosen Family Christmas" which will be presented live by Bonnie and Jonathan from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Eastern.
If you have the energy to party at 7 PM Eastern on Christmas night, the Party Dog's got you covered.
We end the day with PJ Noce bringing us a Story Untold Christmas special.
