After you've enjoyed The Variety Vault with Paul Merrell, Wednesday afternoon from 2 to 4 PM, don't touch that dial, device, PC, Mac, smart speaker or tablet and join me for The Early Years, where and when you'll hear the best music from the first quarter century of Rock with occasional nods to other decades and genres.
A single year is still the focus this week as I conclude the top 100 of 1965, 60 years ago, that I began 3 weeks ago. I've gotten from #100 to #14 and I'll pick up the countdown at #13 and get to #1. What do you think it will be? You may be surprised.
1965 will remain the year in focus for most of the rest of the show as I'll play 6 #1 songs that did not make the top 100 of 1965 and 7 non-#1 songs that also didn't make that chart. I'll conclude with a song to celebrate Hanukkah.
Next week will be Christmas Eve and I hope you'll join me for An Early Years Christmas.
You can contact me any time by email at steve at mushroomfm.com with comments about the show and suggestions for future shows.
So join me, Steve Cutway, for The Early Years, Wednesday afternoon at 4 PM, where and when I will make musical and magical memories finishing the countdown of the top 100 of 1965 on Billboard, and songs that didn't make that chart, after The Variety Vault with Paul Merrell, and before Story Untold with PJ Noce. Then stay tuned for The Mosen explosion. The Early Years will replay Friday morning at 7 AM, after Decades in HD with PJ Noce and before The Mosen explosion, only on Mushroom FM, the home of the fun guys, making four decades of magic mushroom memories.
