We are pleased to welcome Mark Stafford to Mushroom FM, who'll bring you Stafford's world every Monday Morning and Friday evening at 6 Eastern. When you visit the Mushroom FM schedule page, it will show you when that is where you live.
Stafford’s World brings you a unique mix of the best music from the 1960s, to the early 1990s.
Mark has an unmatched wealth of musical knowledge
on the period and the show is backed by a superb music library.
His radio background includes working
in UK commercial radio for stations such as : Invicta FM and Invicta Supergold,
along with being Programme Manager and Head of Music on
the first Pan-European Satellite Rock Station EKR – European Klassik Rock.
He has spent 25 years working for the legendary Radio Caroline,
including being in charge of bringing sophisticated music programming to Caroline for the first time in its history.
During his time as Head of Music, Caroline was broadcasting across Europe on satellite.
Great features on the show include:
“The Song Stories” The artists tell the stories behind some well known songs.
“Ah.. But They Did It First” – The original versions of a couple of hit songs.
“The Writers Sing Them Their Way” -
The writers do their own songs their way.
“I Know I Shouldn’t But I Love It” -
A time for Mark to lose his music credibility,
as he admits to loving an un-cool track
or two in each show.
