I'm Jonathan Mosen, and on Thursday at 2 AM Eastern, repeated at 2 PM Eastern, I am deeply honored, incredibly grateful, and profoundly sad to bring you a tribute to Brian Wilson, the musical and production genius behind the Beach Boys, who has died just short of his 83rd birthday.
Brian Wilson’s life has been a remarkable journey of triumphs and tribulations. From the carefree days of “Surfin’ Safari,” through the genius heights of Pet Sounds and the depths of mental illness, all the way to hard-won redemption and late-life celebration, Brian’s story is unlike any other. It reminds us that great art often comes from great struggle, and that the human spirit – with a little love and mercy – can prevail.
Brian once said, “Music is God’s voice,” and in his music, many of us have heard something divine.
I'll tell his story, and play some of his remarkable music, in this two-hour tribute. Visit https://MushroomFm.com/schedule to find out when the Mosen Explosion is on in your time zone.
