After you've enjoyed Decades in HD with PJ Noce tomorrow afternoon from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM, don't touch that dial, device, PC, Mac, smart speaker or tablet and join me for The Early Years, where and when you'll hear the best music from the first quarter century of Rock with occasional nods to other decades and genres.
For several shows, you've heard me mention a songs about angels theme. It's ready to go and I'll begin it next week; but I thought I would remind you of its sister theme that I did in April 2023, devil songs or songs about devils. This isn't a replay.
Last week, I played songs from 1935 to 1970. This week, I'll backtrack to 1966 for one song and then continue to 2002.
After finishing this theme, I'll pay tribute to J.D. Souther who passed away September 17 at the age of 78 with his two charting hits, one solo and one with James Taylor, and an Eagles song that he co-wrote as he did many of their songs.
You can contact me any time by email at steve at mushroomfm.com with comments about the show and suggestions for future shows, particularly songs about angels for next week's theme.
So join me, Steve Cutway, for The Early Years, when I make musical and magical memories with more songs about devils, and I remember J.D. Souther, tomorrow afternoon at 05:00, after Decades in HD with PJ Noce and Before Snow White FM with The Snowman. Then stay tuned for Dan Sweeney's One Hit Wonders, this week featuring early 80s rock one hit wonders followed by Dan Sweeney's #1 Music, playing #1 songs on the Billboard hot 100, hot country, and R&B charts this time of year from 1960-89. The Early Years replays Wednesday morning at 07:00 AM, after Deep dive with Graeme Innes and before Anthony Unleashed with Anthony Horvath, only on Mushroom FM, the home of the fun guys, making four decades of magic mushroom memories.
