After you've enjoyed Decades in HD with PJ Noce tomorrow afternoon from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM, don't touch that dial, device, PC, Mac, smart speaker or tablet and join me for The Early Years, where and when you'll hear the best music from the first quarter century of Rock with occasional nods to other decades and genres.
Two tributes this week to two artists we lost recently; Sergio Mendes, who passed away September 5 at the age of 83, and Chuck Beal of the superb Canadian 60s group, The Paupers, who passed away August 5 at the age of 80. I knew chuck Beal in his later non-musical career when he was an adaptive technology equipment sales consultant for Frontier Computing, at one time, Canada's largest adaptive technology company. We talked frequently but sadly never about music.
You can contact me any time by email at steve at mushroomfm.com with comments about the show and suggestions for future shows.
So join me, Steve Cutway, for The Early Years, when I make musical and magical memories remembering Sergio Mendes and chuck Beal, tomorrow afternoon at 05:00, after Decades in HD with PJ Noce and Before Snow White FM with The Snowman. Then stay tuned for Dan Sweeney's One Hit Wonders, this week featuring 1959 one hit wonders followed by Dan Sweeney's #1 Music, playing #1 songs this time of year from 1960-89. The Early Years replays Wednesday morning at 07:00 AM, the 8th anniversary of The day the Early Years began, after Deep dive with Graeme Innes and before Anthony Unleashed with Anthony Horvath, only on Mushroom FM, the home of the fun guys, making four decades of magic mushroom memories.
