After you've enjoyed Decades in HD with PJ Noce tomorrow afternoon from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM, don't touch that dial, device, PC, Mac, smart speaker or tablet and join me for The Early Years, where and when you'll hear the best music from the first quarter century of Rock with occasional nods to other decades and genres.
This week, I'm continuing the theme I began last week playing songs that have Summer in the title or mention Summer in the lyrics. Last week, I got from 1956-60 with version comparisons from later years. After playing the latest song you'll hear this week from 1969, I'll return to where I left off in 1960 and continue to 1964, again with some version comparisons from later years but none later than 1966.
I always enjoy celebrating happy occasions. I will be celebrating two such occasions over the next two weeks, the first during the second hour of this week's show.
You can contact me any time by email at steve at mushroomfm.com with comments about the show and suggestions for future shows.
So join me, Steve Cutway, for The Early Years, when I make musical and magical memories with Summer songs primarily from 1960 to 1964, tomorrow afternoon at 05:00, after Decades in HD with PJ Noce and Before Snow White FM with The Snowman. Then stay tuned for Dan Sweeney's One Hit Wonders, this week featuring 1967 one hit wonders, followed by Dan Sweeney's #1 Music. The Early Years replays Wednesday morning at 07:00 AM, after Deep dive with Graeme Innes and before Anthony Unleashed with Anthony Horvath, whom I believe is back from vacation, only on Mushroom FM, the home of the fun guys, making four decades of magic mushroom memories.
