After you've enjoyed Decades in HD with PJ Noce tomorrow afternoon from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM, don't touch that dial, device, PC, Mac, smart speaker or tablet and join me for The Early Years, where and when you'll hear the best music from the first quarter century of Rock with occasional nods to other decades and genres.
Last week, I played songs about Summer with a twist. Instead of songs that mention Summer in their titles and/or lyrics, I played songs that charted in August from 1950 to 1963, two songs from each year.
This week, I'm playing two songs that peaked this month from each year, 1964-74, and one song from 1975 because that's all the time I had.
Next week, I'll continue playing Summer songs; but rather than songs that peaked in the Summer, they'll be songs about Summer, whether it's mentioned in their titles or lyrics or both.
You can contact me any time by email at steve at mushroomfm.com with comments about the show and suggestions for future shows.
So join me, Steve Cutway, for The Early Years, when I make musical and magical memories with more Summer music from 1964-75, tomorrow afternoon at 05:00, after Decades in HD with PJ Noce and Before Snow White FM with The Snowman. Then stay tuned for Dan Sweeney's One Hit Wonders, this week featuring mid 70s rock one hit wonders, followed by Dan Sweeney's #1 Music. The Early Years replays Wednesday morning at 07:00 AM, after Deep dive with Graeme Innes and before a Mushroom FM Request stop while Anthony continues to enjoy his vacation, only on Mushroom FM, the home of the fun guys, making four decades of magic mushroom memories.
