Yet again we are preparing to explode you into the new year, live from Mosen Towers as Bonnie, Heidi, Henry and Anthony join me in the studio to be the first to see in the new year.
We’ll be plugging in some extra mics, working the mixer really hard, selecting some great party tunes and ordering epic party food. We’ve already been asked whether we’re going to inflict that catchy German earworm, Schnappi, on the masses like we did last year. Well I have to tell you, the thing about the last 25 years of my Internet radio career is that we’ve never stood still, we’ve always moved forward. So just wait until you hear what we’re going to inflict on you this year from little Florence’s music collection!
And yes, it is a very special broadcast for me as I celebrate my 25th anniversary of Internet broadcasting. I’ve been rummaging through the archives over the last few days and you’ll be hearing a lot of old jingles, sweeps, promos and little audio bits you won’t have heard in a very long while. I’ve also been getting some very special memories sent in as written emails and audio clips, and I’m looking forward to sharing those with you. If you have any reflections or memories of the last 25 years or part thereof that we’ve spent together on this Internet radio thing, I’d love to get them, You can email me, Jonathan at MushroomFm.com or give me a call in the US at (864)606-6736.
Looking forward to seeing you for four hours of total unpredictable fun, at 3 AM Eastern, 8 AM in the UK, 9 PM here in New Zealand on new year’s eve. Only on Mushroom FM, the station that brings you 2024 first.
