After you've enjoyed Come By The Hills with Sara Hillis and her replay of her Gordon Lightfoot tribute show originally broadcast May 6, 2023, tomorrow afternoon from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM, don't touch that dial, device, PC, Mac, smart speaker or tablet and join me for The Early Years, where and when you'll hear the best music from the first half of the Rock and Roll era with occasional nods to other decades and genres.
There are two very special shows this week and next week on The Early Years with guest hosts. This week, my friend of more than 53 years and one of my most faithful listeners on Mushroom FM who has figured frequently in the show over the years, Hank in Ottawa, will join you with songs about NHL hockey cities. As he says in his intro, many of the songs you'll know but some you won't. Next week, my wife of 52½ years, Nancy, will share her passion with you through songs about family. She has been a Genealogist for more than 45 years. They volunteered to fill in when it appeared that I would be unavailable due to my gum grafting surgery and while my involvement in these shows has been minimal, I'm looking forward to hearing them and I hope you will be too.
You can contact me any time by email at steve at mushroomfm.com with comments about the show and suggestions for future shows. I will forward your comments to Hank and nancy.
So join Hank, for The Early Years, when he makes musical and magical memories playing songs about NHL cities, tomorrow afternoon at 05:00, after Come By The Hills with Sara Hillis and Before Dan Sweeney's One Hit Wonders. The show replays Wednesday morning at 07:00 AM, after Deep dive with Graeme Innes and before Anthony Unleashed with Anthony Horvath (both of whom may be on vacation), only on Mushroom FM, the home of the fun guys, making four decades of magic mushroom memories.
