With the re-release of the Beatles 1962-66, and 1967-70 compilations, we are about to get an extraordinary number of remixes of some of the most loved songs in popular music. There are 36 new stereo mixes in addition to the Beatles tracks that have been remixed over the last eight years, plus even more new Dolby Atmos mixes.
Not only will I play you all the new mixes, I'll go in-depth and tell you the stories behind the songs. How they were recorded, and how and why they were written.
I cannot wait to bring these mixes to you, and if usual practices are being followed, I’ll be able to play them for you before they’re available in most places, due to time zone differences.
My hope is to bring you this three hour show beginning on Thursday 9 November at 9 AM Eastern, 2 PM in the UK, that’s Friday morning at 3 AM in New Zealand. Yes that’s early, but if I wasn’t on the radio playing them for you, I’d be awake playing them anyway.
Note, this programme is subject to normal release practices being followed. If they are not, it may be postponed at short notice. Please subscribe to the Mushroom Fm announcements list or check our blog for updates.
I look forward very much to sharing these treasures with you.
