As you'd expect, there is an enormous amount of excitement and publicity surrounding what will be the Beatles' final song, "Now and Then". Only a handful of people in the know would have predicted that 2023 would be a year in which we heard brand new Beatles music.
Join me, Jonathan Mosen, for a two hour live listening party on Mushroom FM at 9 AM Eastern on Thursday. Check our schedule to find out where that is where you are. It will be replayed 12 hours later, but if you possibly can, since this is history being made, you'll want to hear this live.
We'll begin with plenty of Beatles memories, and you're welcome to share yours. There is also detailed background to the way Now and Then was produced, even going into detail about the Sony cassette deck John used to start this process back in the 1970s. We’ll hear from Sir Paul, Sir Ringo, Giles Martin, Sir Peter jackson, and Sean Lennon explaining how they were able to finish the song.
The moment we're able, at 10 AM Eastern, we'll bring you the new song and look forward to your thoughts. It is a huge risk for a new Beatles song to be added to their legacy. Has the risk pay off? Send us your reactions to your first hearing.
If you’d like to make a Beatles request, share any Beatles stories and discuss what they mean to you, please do be in touch, you’d be very welcome.
See you soon for this extraordinary moment, on Mushroom FM.
