Our look at offshore radio continues. Thanks to all who have let us know how much you're enjoying this series.
On new year's eve 1965 after many challenges had been overcome, Scotland got its own offshore radio station.
Radio Scotland was a unique mix of a station with a Scotish flavour, while broadcasting with commercial radio values and energy.
In 1968, a year after the station closed, a hospital radio network put together a tribute to Radio Scotland, and it's this programme that you'll hear. It includes plenty of recordings from the station, as well as reflections from some of its much-loved personalities.
Join us for the Radio Scotland Story at 2 PM Eastern or 11 PM Eastern this Sunday. Check the Mushroom FM schedule page to find out when it's on in your time zone.
