After you've enjoyed Come By The Hills with Sara Hillis, tomorrow afternoon from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM, don't touch that dial, device, PC, Mac, smart speaker or tablet and join me for The Early Years where and when you'll hear the best music from the first half of the Rock and Roll era with nods to other decades and genres.
The 150 "important" Canadian songs chosen by a panel of newspaper columnists, reporters and editors from the Winnipeg Free Press for Canada's Sesquicentennial in 2017, also known as "The Great Canadian Setlist", concludes this week. I pick up the list in 1995 and continue to 1999, at which point I'll count down the top ten which covers a broad musical period from 1968 to 2003.
I am a proud Canadian and will promote my country's music every chance I get, like Sara does on "Come By the Hills".
Next week, more Canadian music but from the early years! including a tribute to Robbie robertson who passed away at the age of 80 on Wednesday.
You can contact me any time by email at steve at mushroomfm.com with comments about the show and suggestions for future shows.
