Burt Bacharach was one of the most important musical figures of the 20th century. He has died of natural causes at the age of 94.
In this three hour tribute, I’ll play you many of the hits Burt Bacharach helped to write. There are so many of them that there is little time for talk. So in this case, the music does much of the talking. You may find yourself surprised by the number of hits he has had a hand in.
You’ll have two chances to hear the tribute. It will air first on Friday at 6 PM Eastern time, 11 PM in the UK, right after Damo’s All Day Breakfast, and again on Saturday at 11 AM Eastern time, 4 PM in the UK, right after Treasure Island Oldies.
If you’re not in either of those time zones, remember that you can check the schedule page on the Mushroom FM website, and the schedule will be displayed in your time zone.
I hope you enjoy some of the greatest pop music ever made. Also, keep listening, because other fun guys will be acknowledging Burt Bacharach’s death too.
