It has been quite a year, and as we’ve done continuously since 2009, we’ll be broadcasting live from Mosen Towers as 2022 ends and New Zealand becomes the first country to see 2023. That’s right, we beta test the new year, so you don’t have to. If necessary, we’ll even turn the new year on off and back on again before it reaches you. It’s kind of cool that we can broadcast to the rest of the world direct from next year.
The fun starts at 9 PM New Zealand time on Saturday. That equals Saturday morning at 3 AM US Eastern time, 8 AM in the UK.
We know that some listeners really look forward to this party and set an alarm, and we truly appreciate that.
With Mushroom FM now having made Mastodon it’s primary social network, all the interaction will be happening there. Toot using the Mushroom FM hashtag and you can mention me on Mastodon at jonathan@social.MushroomFm.com.
We’ll be playing some great party tunes, reflecting on the new year, and of course we’ll do the annual ritual of ordering a wide range of epic pizza.
We all very much look forward to your company for our new year’s party, where we say toodeloo to 2022, and welcome with glee 2023.
