After you've enjoyed Come By The Hills with Sara Hillis, tomorrow afternoon from 02:00 to 05:00, don't touch that dial, device, PC, Mac or smart speaker and join me in The Early Years where and when you'll hear the best music from Rock and Roll's Golden Age (its first quarter century) with an occasional nod to other decades and genres.
That's what I say in 2021 but that's not what I said five years ago tomorrow, Sept. 25, 2016. Then, I said this.
When you hear the dying strains of Van Halen's Happy Trails signalling the end of The Mosen Explosion, don't touch that PC, that device or that internet
radio and join me in The Early Years on Mushroom FM.
"Hello, I'm Steve Cutway and I'm no longer Lost in the 50s. I've expanded my musical horizon to include the 60s as well. But I'm the antithesis of Jonathan
as I don't tweet and I don't facebook. But you can contact me by e-mail at
steve@mushroomfm.com.
Prolific singer and songwriter, John D. Loudermilk, died last Wednesday of complications arising from bone cancer. He was 82. During the 2nd hour of the show, I'll
be playing songs he wrote that were recorded by him and others.
So join me, Steve Cutway, in The Early Years, Sunday at 6 PM Eastern, immediately following the Mosen Explosion, with an encore presentation Wednesday
morning at 7 AM, before Breakfast with Bruce in the 50s, only on Mushroom FM, the home of the fun guys, making four decades of magic mushroom memories!"
Lots has changed since that first show including the music I play, adding the 70s as well as occasional nods to other decades and genres. Return with me to the first edition of The Early Years broadcast five years ago tomorrow, September 25, 2016.
All of the shows mentioned except "Breakfast With Bruce" and "Moondreams" are still on Mushroom FM but at different times than mentioned in my first show in September 2016.
You can contact me any time by email at steve at mushroomfm.com with comments about the show and suggestions for future shows.
So join me, Steve Cutway, in The Early Years, as I remember how it all began, September 25, 2016, tomorrow afternoon at 05:00, after Come By The Hills with Sara Hillis and before Dan Sweeney's One Hit Wonders. The show replays Wednesday morning at 07:00 AM, after Deep Dive with Graeme Innes and before Anthony Unleashed with Anthony Horvath, only on Mushroom FM, the home of the fun guys, making four decades of magic mushroom memories!
