Affter you've enjoyed Mosen At Large, Mushroom FM's premier opinion show, which begins at the top of the hour and continues until 05:00, during which I hope all your questions get answered and all your opinions get heard, don't touch that dial, device, PC, Mac or smart speaker and join me in The Early Years where and when you'll enjoy the best music from Rock and Roll's Golden Age (its first quarter century) with an occasional nod to other decades and genres.
Last week in part 1 of my tribute to Phil Spector who died Jan. 16, I covered his early music from 1958-64. This week, I continue my tribute to Phil spector by playing more of his music by the Philles Records artists: The Ronettes, Darlene Love, Bob B. Soxx And The blue Jeans, The Righteous Brothers and Ike And tina Turner, as well as artists he freelanced with for other record companies: The Top Notes, Johnny Crawford, Connie Francis, Sonny Charles And The Checkmates, Ltd., The Beatles, John Lennon and George Harrison. You'll also hear Phil Spector's off-the-cuff analysis of four songs in his own words. Like last week, you'll hear songs that I'm sure you've not heard before on Mushroom FM.
You can contact me any time by email at steve at mushroomfm.com with comments about the show and suggestions for future shows.
