After you've enjoyed The Mosen Explosion tomorrow afternoon, stay tuned for The Early Years where you'll enjoy the best music from Rock and Roll's Golden Age (its first quarter century) with an occasional nod to other decades and genres.
Of course, it's all about the music on Mushroom FM the home of the fun guys. But I'm delving a little deeper again this week with more music about music, another listener-suggested theme.
But before that, I will devote most of hour 1 to paying tribute to singer songwriter John Prine who succumbed to Coronavirus on Tuesday at the age of 73. Rolling Stone has produced a list of 25 essential John Prine songs and you'll hear eight of them as well as one that has a special memory for me.
The songs about rhapsodies, suites, sonatas and waltzes are over so in hour 2, you'll hear songs about music.
You can contact me any time by e-mail at steve@mushroomfm.com with comments about the show and suggestions for future shows; and anything else as well.
So join me, Steve Cutway, in The Early Years, tomorrow afternoon at 05:00 PM, and listen to the music of John Prine and songs about music, after The Mosen Explosion and before Dan Sweeney's One Hit Wonders. The show replays Wednesday morning at 07:00 AM, before Anthony Unleashed, only on Mushroom FM, the home of the fun guys, making four decades of magic mushroom memories!
