And after The Mosen Explosion comes to an end tomorrow, join me for The Early Years where you'll hear the best music from Rock and Roll's Golden Age (its first quarter century) with an occasional nod to other decades and genres.
Something old and something new but nothing borrowed or blue this week. Between June 10 and September 30, 2018, I did five shows featuring "jaw-dropping songs" and you've heard four of them.
What are "jaw-dropping songs"? As defined by a regular listener, jaw-dropping songs are songs that made you stop and listen the first time you heard them, whether you ultimately liked them or not; or songs that made you say, "what the frig!" (Or perhaps something stronger!)
Nine listeners sent me lists of their jaw-dropping songs and they represent quite a musical variety.
Part 5, originally broadcast Sept. 30, 2018, didn't take the entire show because of other unfinished business; so the first 45 minutes of this week's show is new and includes songs that may well be jaw-dropping for you. Then I'll finish the replay of that Sept. 30, 2018 show. There will be an all new part 6 next week so you have an opportunity to suggest songs that were jaw-dropping for you between now and then.
Because this series originally ran on Sunday, references to other Mushroom FM shows and other things may be out-of-date; although the Sunday night lineup is still the same, except that The Early Years is now on Saturday as you know.
You can contact me any time by email at steve@mushroomfm.com with comments about the show and suggestions for future shows; and anything else you want to share as well.
So join me, Steve Cutway, in The Early Years, for something old and something new but nothing borrowed or blue, tomorrow afternoon at my new time, 05:00 PM, after "The Mosen explosion" and before "Dan Sweeney's One Hit Wonders". The show replays Wednesday morning at 07:00 AM, before Anthony Unleashed, only on Mushroom FM, the home of the fun guys, making four decades of magic mushroom memories!
