The presents are wrapped, the turkey is waiting to be stuffed and roasted (unless you're Dave), and you now can hopefully enjoy a bit of down time before the big day itself. Why not pour a glass of your favourite Christmas cheer and join me for some Christmas traditions, tonight from 09:00 until midnight North American Eastern Time on Mushroom FM.
Hi, I'm Steve Cutway. I'll have some favourite holiday stories written and/or performed by Canadian storytellers linked by holiday music performed primarily by Canadians.
You'll hear the reply to a little girl's question about the existence of Santa claus; how "Dave Cooks The Turkey"; "The Gift Of The Magi" (one of my favourite Christmas stories); a Christmas party with a twist; "Hoodoo McFiggan's Christmas" by Stephen Leacock; the challenges trying to retrieve a Christmas card after it's been posted; "The Cricket On The Harth" by Charles Dickens; and the story that has now been a Canadian radio tradition for 40 years, "The Shepherd" by Frederick Forsyth.
Relax with me, Steve cutway, and Christmas Traditions, tonight from 09:00 until midnight on Mushroom FM, the home of the fun guys. And then stay tuned for the replay of our 2019 Holiday countdown, the 100 songs as voted by you.
"Happy Christmas! Goodnight, Sir".
