Spring is supposed to have sprung in the world’s coolest little capital, but no one would be guilty of having ever thunk it as the rain pelts down and we’re all stuck in doors. Nevertheless, the sun’s always shining on The Mosen Explosion, where every week we bring you four hours of great music and conversation.
There’s the usual liberal helping of tech chat and advice this week. Not long after Apple TV Plus came into our lives to entertain us, some now have Disney+, with so many giving it a try that the whole thing…well…exploded! Have you tried it? What do you think? It doesn’t arrive in New Zealand until next week. Should I get it or not?
But as I keep trying to tell people, there’s more to life than just technology, oh yes there is! This week, I’m asking for your pet linguistic peeves. Things that people say incorrectly, sayings that just don’t make sense, or word that people frequently mispronounce. Try hard enough and I’m sure you’ll think of somethink.
On 16 November 1959, 60 years ago, The Sound of Music debuted on Broadway. We’ll be playing some tunes from this most epic of musicals, but I’m sorry, for me, the movie version will always be the definitive one, so that’s what I’ll be playing.
Bonnie will be here with her bulletin, we’ll go back and look at what is a surprisingly quiet day in history, and as always you can influence the show with your phone calls, emails and tweets.
I hope to enjoy your company on Mushroom FM right after Chuck Taylor and ahead of Steve Cutway, at 2 PM Eastern, 7 PM UK, 8 AM in New Zealand, only on the marvellous, mighty, magnificent Mushroom FM.
