I’m very much looking forward to being back with you live on The Mosen Explosion for another week and receiving your audio and written emails, your tweets, your phone calls and your Facebook contributions. Golly, this show is, like, so totally wired!
Yes there was once a time when our computers tended to be stand-alone, isolated things. You could copy data onto a floppy disk or print out a document, but that was about it.
Last week, I had a massive and hugely interesting response to my request for your first iPhone stories. I’ve heard from many listeners about how much they enjoyed hearing everyone’s experiences. This week, I’d be keen to hear about your early days of going online. For me, that was 33 years ago, when what we have today was barely imaginable.
What combination of technology did you use? Did you feel like it was opening up a new world for you? What encouraged you to go online in the first place, and did it live up to your expectations?
New Zealand will be playing Australia in the Cricket World Cup at Lords, the home of cricket, so tension will most certainly be a factor in the show.
Bonnie will be here with her bulletin, we’ll look back at a relatively quiet day in history, and much more.
I hope you’ll be a part of it, right after Chuck Taylor at 2 PM Eastern, 7 PM in the UK on Saturday, that’s Sunday morning at 6 AM in New Zealand, only on the mighty Mushroom FM.
