I’m beginning to feel like one of those super heroes, but without the super powers! Mild mannered chief executive during the week, crazy exploding Internet radio host on Saturdays at 2 PM Eastern, 7 PM UK. What a double life!
But it is the second part of that life I’m here to bug you about. It’s going to be a full-on show, because for the first part of it, New Zealand will still be taking on the West Indies in the world cup cricket. Let’s hope it doesn’t get like the last match, where my Apple Watch warned me about my unusually high heart rate during what seemed like relative inactivity.
Over the last week, many of us celebrated the 10th anniversary of the first accessible iPhone, the iPhone 3GS. If you’ve not heard Shelly Brisbin’s masterpiece documentary, 36 Seconds that changed everything, I highly recommend it. I’d love to hear your memories either of the day we heard that the iPhone was going to be accessible, or of your first iPhone purchase. Has it changed your life radically? What do you remember about your first interactions?
In other news, as they say, Peter and Gordon are our featured artists this week, as Peter Asher is blowing out 75 candles.
Bonnie’s here with another bulletin and her own iPhone memories, and of course we’ll look back at this day in history.
Sure, we have plenty of great music and a very liberal dose of Mosen waffle, but what makes the show truly fun is listener participation. So, feel free to get in touch on the phone, the email, the Twitter, the Facebook and the ICQ. Well…maybe not the ICQ.
You can catch the show on Saturdays at 2 PM Eastern, 7 PM UK. That’s Sunday in New Zealand at 6 AM. And only on Mushroom FM.
