It is indeed that time of year again! We've got two Celtic cultural days in the month of March, and Friday was the first of them, being the feast-day of St. David of Wales! So, before we get to all the green beer and such later this month with that other saint, let's take some time to honour the Welsh culture and especially its language and song this week on Mushroom Fm's premier Celtic music show!
Welsh has been a language under threat of extinction for many centuries, but thanks to many determined people, it is undergoing a huge revival both in Wales and around the world! So, I'm going to play songs that celebrate Welsh language and Welsh folklore by top Welsh artists this week. WE won't have our usual features, just a lot of great music yn Cymraeg (that is, in Welsh.) So, join me tonight at 8:00 PM Eastern and let's celebrate this great music together! You can also catch the replay on Friday at 4:00 AM Eastern, 9:00 aM in the UK and Ireland, and you can check out the archive of the show which will be available this week at www.mushroomfm.com/sarahillis.
