Yes, it is a long weekend here in Canada, a weekend on which we give thanks for the harvest and celebrate by eating a lot of food and having a lovely time with family and/or friends. I think that having an attitude of gratitude, as some self-help books put it, is very important all year round, but I'm reminded this weekend of how thankful I am for the ability to do this show. Mushroom Fm has allowed me to live a small dream that I've had, that of doing a show about the music I love most in the world, and for that I'm very grateful indeed.
It also goes without saying, though it should be said of course, that I'm grateful for all who have decided to make this little show of mine a ritual part of their week. I know there is a lot of choice in entertainment out there, so I do thank you for hanging out with me every week for a bit of folk and a bit of fun.
There's another great show coming your way tonight as usual, with all our usual features in their places, so I hope you'll join me at 8:00 PM Eastern, right after Steve Cutway and The Early Years, or else catch the replay on Friday at 4:00 AM Eastern, 9:00 AM in the UK and Ireland, following Jonathan and The Smorgasbord. Alternatively, if you can't make either of those times, you can always check out the archive of shows available at www.mushroomfm.com/sarahillis. Enjoy, and happy Canadian Thanksgiving!
