Regular listeners to The Early Years know that I play the best variety of music from the 50s and 60s including music from before the rock era which is generally accepted as starting in 1955.
Before telling you what's up this week, I'd like to thank Bruce Toews for filling in for the past four weeks while I was cruising the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean. His musical themes were brilliant.
But now I'm back and raring to go. After paying homage to the sea with two songs, I'll continue the countdown of the greatest songs of the 50s and 60s according to Rolling Stone Magazine. I'll start at #295 and continue to #244. Not every song was a hit and you'll hear album cuts that I hope you'll enjoy, or at least find interesting.
So join me, Steve Cutway, as I continue counting down the greatest songs of the 50s and 60s, as chosen by Rolling Stone Magazine, on The Early Years, tonight at 6 PM Eastern Daylight Time, before Come By The Hills with Sara Hillis. If you miss the show tonight, catch its replay Wednesday morning at 7 AM Eastern Daylight Time, before Mushroom Munch, on Mushroom FM, the home of the fun guys, making four decades of musical mushroom memories. Long live Rock and Roll!
