Unfortunately, this week Steve Cutway is not going to be able to bring you the Early Years. So, scraping the bottom of the barrel, Mushroom FM has dug up Bruce Toews to sit in the air chair in steve's place.
So this week on the show, Bruce will be going through the musical alphabet, with every song title starting with the next letter of the alphabet. In the event that we finish the alphabet before the end of the show, we'll just go back through the alphabet from Z to A, or however far we get. Can Bruce scrounge up a song from the fifties or sixties that starts with X? We here at Mushroom Central are guessing that he can't. But Bruce is nothing if not persistent (or, as we say around here, pigheaded), so who knows, maybe he'll surprise us.
Whatever else may or may not happen on the show, you can count on one thing: some of the best music that the 1950s and 1960s have to offer, played by someone who truly loves these two musical decades, even if he didn't live through them himself. So please join Bruce tonight, Sunday, between 6:00 and 8:00 PM Eastern time, for The Early Years. If you love fifties and sixties music, you will be very glad you tuned in.
