Yes, despite my time away, Come by the Hills is going ahead as usual. We'll be presenting a rerun of the Loreena McKennitt show that I did last November. This show will be dedicated in loving memory to Shannon Smith, my best and childhood friend who died very suddenly on September 16, 2017, at the age of forty. She loved Loreena's work as well, and moreover, she was one of the people whom I always had in mind when constructing this show.
I credit Shannon with introducing me to Loreena McKennitt, and indeed, she introduced me to a lot of different musicians, albums and songs over the years. So, this one's for her, and I hope you enjoy a look back. I'll be back with a new episode next Sunday. Thanks to Steve Cutway for providing this one. It's made me want to start archiving my shows.
So, if you're up for some amazing Canadian Celtic talent, then join me for a rerun of the Come by the Hills Loreena McKennitt special, tonight after The Early Years with Steve, or on Friday following Jonathan and The Smorgasbord!
