Some songwriters and singers just know how to tap into deepest regions of sadness, passion and truth. Such is the musical prowess of Percy Mayfield, the "Poet Laureate Of The Blues."
This week on Deep Dive we enjoy the outspring singing and song writing talents of Neil Diamond. We meet Sweet Caroline, Cracklin' Rosie, and drink red red wine.

After you've enjoyed Decades in HD with PJ Noce tomorrow afternoon from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM, don't touch that dial, device, PC, Mac, smart speaker or tablet and join me for The Early Years, where and when you'll hear the best music from the first quarter century of Rock with occasional nods to other decades and genres.
Hello! Sara Hillis popping round again to let you know what's coming up on this week's edition of Come by the Hills the Folk and Celtic music show. This week, it's a visit to the archives for a very special show that I did in March of 2020. It features a house concert given by me, and was a really fun show to do. So bear in mind that the promos may be out-of-date, and we'll be revisiting the beginning of the pandemic as well. So there we have it. I hope you find it interesting, and I'll be back with you live next week, all things being equal.

It was very clear from the positive reaction we received to the series of documentaries we ran about offshore radio last year that many of our listeners love offshore radio as much as many of the fun guys do. And Easter Saturday marks a significant 60th anniversary.
Easter Saturday in 1964 fell on 28 March. On that day, radio listening in Britain was changed forever, with the start of broadcasts from Britain’s first daytime commercial radio station Radio Caroline.

Well hello all ye Hillsians and Hillsians-yet-to-be! We're only a day away (plus a few hours, I suppose) from another episode of Come by the Hills, the Folk and Celtic music show on Mushroom FM! This week, I'll have songs about spring, a few St. Patrick's Day left-overs including a request that I didn't get to last week, songs about both Whisky and Whiskey, and a neat story about one of our favourite artists and an intrepid listener! There's also a punk version of The Massacre at Glencoe that I thought we'd try out. So, drop by for a bit, won't you?
